Mass Transfer Operations Laboratory

(Common with Mechanical Engineering)

This is one of the most important laboratories as far as Chemical Engineering is concerned. The Mass Transfer operations Laboratory deals with experimental study of separations and mass transfer. Laboratory experiments are so planned that basic fundamental mass transfer like diffusion through gas, diffusion through liquid, humidification etc. and basic stage wise separation operations like distillation in packed as well as plate column, absorption in packed and plate column, extraction, leaching can be covered in two semester. Experimental design along with correlation and interpretation of data is introduced.
